MummaBubba – Stylish and practical jewellery that is safe for a teething baby
MummaBubba is an ingenious range of teething jewellery, that is safe for baby to chew on, while still fashionable for mum to wear. Any parent knows that once teething sets in, most babies will reach for anything they can get their hands on, and start sucking, chewing, and sometimes eating it. Babies do this as a way of creating counter pressure against the painful upward pressure of their developing teeth. Since teething generally begins anywhere between 4-6 months, most babies are not walking, and are instead being carried around by their mother. This means that mum’s favorite necklace is fair game to a baby looking for something to play with and/or chew on. Despite their age, a young baby has a good grip and enough strength to break a necklace. Here in lies the problem! Mum wants to wear her jewellery, but doesn’t want to risk having her baby break it. The problem is now solved with the MummaBubba teething jewellery range.
All MummaBubba jewellery products are made from FDA approved silicone which is BPA, Lead, Cadmium, and mercury FREE. This non-toxic silicone is safe, and great for baby to chew down on, helping to relieve some of their teething pain, while at the same time providing mum with a great wardrobe accessory. The MummaBubba products are of a high quality to ensure durability and longevity. They are beautifully packaged and are so versatile, they can easily be worn after the teething time is over.
Duesoon Review of MummaBubba:
As a mother of 3, I am quite familiar with a baby who seems magnetically attracted to my necklace (and sometimes even earrings!!). This attraction, followed by an insatiable desire to tug and chew on the necklace, is not limited only to the teething phase, but can be common right throughout the first 18-24 months of a baby’s life (from when they can grab things anyway). That is why I was thrilled to find the MummaBubba teething jewellery range. After donning the bangle and the tulip beads necklace, I went out with my at the time 6 month old baby on my hip. The Necklace was a complete success! She chewed it and played with it for ages. It kept her thoroughly entertained, and I had the piece of mind of knowing it was completely safe for her. It wasn’t long before I began getting comments from family and friends who had witnessed this love affair between my baby girl and my MummaBubba teething necklace – everyone thinking it was a great idea. 12 months on, my not so little girl still enjoys playing with my necklace and bangle, and my 3 year old daughter was playing dress ups with it just the other day. For once, the kids can dress up with my jewellery, and I don’t have to fear it’s potential destruction!
After my personal success with the MummaBubba range, I decided to give a bangle and necklace as a gift at a friends baby shower. Needless to say, this was the ‘ooohhhh ahhhhh’ gift of the night, with everyone commenting on what a ‘great idea’ MummaBubba jewellery is, and how ‘real’ it looked (it certainly doesn’t look like silicone). I have resolved in my mind to make these products a very likely future baby shower gift, since they are useful to mum, not likely to be something you get given too many of, and it’s a whole lot easier to give something like this, then try to find a reasonable looking lemon yellow or mint green onesie or wrap (that, lets face it – won’t get used once baby’s gender is known! unless of course all other outfits are in the wash!!!!)
- FDA approved – no toxic chemicals, so completely safe for both mum and baby
- Provides fun and effective teething relief for baby
- Breakaway clasp – this reduces the possibility of snagging, and means that if baby pulls at the necklace, it will snap open, rather than break (preventing any potential bead spillage)
- Comes in a variety of styles and colours to suit your individual style and outfits
- Simple but classy packaging make MummaBubba an excellent baby shower or new mum gift
- Easily cleaned by washing in warm soapy water, or simply place in a dishwasher
Although babies are able to chew on the MummaBubba jewellery range, the necklaces are NOT toys. Children under the age of 3 should not be left alone with a necklace, because, should a necklace break, the beads may become a choking hazard. Babies also shouldn’t wear a MummaBubba necklace due to the risk of strangulation.
